MEK launches new brand identity for communications tech company

Following months of collaborative work, MEK launched an all-new comprehensive brand identity for Smithville Communications. The new brand–Smithville Fiber–captures the vibrant delivery of 21st-century communications.

MEK develops new brand identity for Smithville FiberThe first rollout of the new brand took place during a media announcement of Smithville’s gigabit fiber expansion into a major Bloomington (Indiana) neighborhood. MEK developed the new brand identity to reflect the company’s technological expansion of its fiber-optic service and the future of Smithville, which is nearly a 100-year-old communication company that is nationally recognized for its commitment to innovation excellence.

Earlier in 2015, MEK helped Smithville launch its new gigabit expansion in Jasper Indiana, which will create Indiana’s first true GigaCity – 1,000 mbps down and up for data transmission. MEK succeeded in placing both statewide media coverage and national B2B industry placements for the announcement. MEK directed and coordinated the development of a new Web site for the expansion (http://jasper.smithville.com), which presaged the development of the new fiber-centric brand for Smithville Fiber.

MEK is presently developing and implementing creative strategy for the brand rollout, which will be applied in all facets of the company.
