Three Things We’re Grateful For at MEK
Gratitude. It’s essential. Even life-saving. We live in a world where hectic schedules reign supreme. Deadlines loom overhead like bloated clouds threatening to burst. And, in a pressure-filled environment, even the sweetest, most saint-like people in our lives sometimes have a bumpy time of it. Considering these phenomena, gratitude’s restorative role of importance rises to an all-time high.
Top Three Things
As we approach Thanksgiving, we at MEK would like to pause and express the top 3 items on our gratitude list. (Spoiler alert: you are number one!)
- You MEK clients, our friends and our collaborative colleagues are number one! Without our great clients, we would not exist. And our clients are the best, giving us the opportunity to provide superb service and to make a difference. We remain grateful for clients in providing engaging, stimulating, rewarding and challenging partnership opportunities! We look forward to a great rewarding relationship in the months to come. (And if you’re not yet a client, a friend or a collaborative colleague, why not?)
- High-impact Effective Caring Leadership You don’t have to have a title to embrace this leadership style. This kind of leadership may emanate from anyone, anywhere regardless of education level, social status, or any other label that we as a society may be tempted to affix to our fellow human being. You know who you are (or since you’re probably humble in nature, we know who you are). We’re grateful you’re there.
- Humor Everyone can use a laugh. It can elevate every aspect of our lives. Even our endocrine system benefits. Research repeatedly proves the benefits of humor. When appropriate, humor possesses the potential to enhance life. But don’t take our word for it. Want to feel better now? Have a look at this easy-to-read, research-backed piece that specifically describes 30 benefits of humor at work.
(We’re also grateful for the service and kindness that our MEK staff renders to others on a daily basis. From formal board positions to anonymous volunteering and donations, MEK cares.)
