The Return of MEK MarketWatch
Strategic. Relevant. Thought-provoking. Since the popular three-year run of the Hoosier Coefficient blog on the Chicago-based Midwest Business (before its Great Recession-induced demise in 2010), MEK Marketwatch has striven to follow in that tradition.
Now with the arrival of a new year, MEK Marketwatch returns in a new location. We hope you will check back regularly for digital insights on strategic content and cross-channel marketing, as well as tips, summaries and tips to help your company boost productivity and profits in 2013.
How did we do in 2012? While perhaps others made noise, MEK made a difference for its clients. Here’s a few examples:
Outstanding strategy and MEK creative was rewarded in 2012 with MEK capturing PRSA regional and multi-state awards for its prior work. These included a special media and brand development/positioning event with Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels for the WestGate @ Crane Technology Park’s ground-breaking for the $8 million WestGate Academy. MEK’s comprehensive communication strategy and multi-channel content development was also recognized as outstanding for the Major Easy 3 Childhood Obesity Prevention initiative.
MEK’s strategic assets came together for the powerhouse launch of Iotron Industries in NE Indiana. Set to serve the multi-billion orthopedic industry in northern Indiana, Iotron’s state-of-the-art electron beam capacities provide a board array of materials modification (e.g., cross-linking, where material strength is increased at the molecular level) and sterilization services. MEK developed and executed a highly targeted marketing program that included technical white paper development, PR, media relations, strategic content development, event management and an array of digital and other platforms. Strategic partnerships with professionals at Whitley County Economic Development, the Northeast Indiana Strategic Partnerships and Iotron punched the launch into an unqualified success.
MEK’s creative services came to fore with targeted national advertising for the planned Purdue University $12 million equine surgery center in south east central Indiana (right) as well as brand development and lead generation for the Daviess County Economic Development Corporation and the Radius Indiana regional partnership in south central Indiana (below).
There’s much more. Many are now chronicled in the new MEK Portfolio section on the new MEK Web site.
